Biography of Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy, born on May 25, 1976, in Douglas, Cork is an Irish actor and cinema artist. His nickname is Cill. His recent age is 47.  He is the oldest child of Brendan Murphy, who works for the Irish Department of Education. And the mother is a French teacher. He has three younger siblings. Murphy was educated at Presentation Brothers College, Cork. He was educated at Presentation Brothers college, Cork. He studied Law, but he dropped studies after about a year. During this time he developed an interest in music, playing guitar in various bands.

He left University. He started his career as a theatre performer and transitioned into movies and television. His starts as a rock singer, he turned down a record contract to concentrate on his acting. Murphy joined the Corcadorca Theater Company in Cork, and played an important role in “Disco Pigs”, amongst other plays. He rose to fame for his stellar performances in both indie and major films.

The following year, Murphy starred in Ken Loach’s The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006). The film was the most successful independent Irish film. The Wind That Shakes The Barley, which was directed by Ken Loach, was a critical success. He again worked with Boyle in the science-fiction film Sunshine (2007). Murphy continued to take roles in a number of independent films. His first collaboration with Christopher Nalon.
